Written submissions were invited from the community during the Inquiry's consultation process and these submissions provided the MAC with valuable insights, views and perspectives on the issues relevant to the Terms of Reference for the Inquiry.
The closing date for written submissions was 31 October 2015.
Those making submissions had the choice of making them publicly available (in some cases, with anonymity for the author) or confidential. If a person requested anonymity, identifying details have been removed prior to publication. If confidentiality was requested, the submission (or the identified confidential part of it) has not been published.
The Inquiry expressed no opinion as to the content or accuracy of any of the submissions published on this website, or other materials to which they may refer.
The Inquiry redacted (blacked out) parts of some submissions for legal or privacy reasons prior to publication, including if the submission identifies or contains information about individuals other than the person (or organisation) making the submission. In a small number of cases, the MAC published a synopsis only of a submission because of these concerns.
