Coburg residents, interest groups, businesses and government representatives are urged to have their say on the future of the Environment Protection Authority, when the Inquiry team hosts an open community meeting on Monday 21 September.
A major independent inquiry has been commissioned by the Minister for Environment, Climate Change and Water to look at the future role of the EPA, Victoria's environmental regulator.
Coburg is among 17 locations around the State where an open public forum will be held to better understand local ideas and issues to inform long term planning for the EPA.
Topics for exploration include land use planning, public health, emergency management, climate change, better regulatory approaches, and ways the EPA can effectively

Interested parties are encouraged to visit the interactive website www.epa-inquiry.vic.gov.au to register to attend the consultations, participate in discussion forums, read the discussion paper and find out how make online and written submissions.
The Inquiry will report to the Minister for Environment, Climate Change and Water by 31 March 2016.
