Residents, businesses and government representatives in Melbourne's outer-east locations, are urged to have their say on the future of the Environment Protection Authority, when the Inquiry team hosts an open public meeting on Wednesday 23 September.
A major independent inquiry has been commissioned by the Minister for Environment, Climate Change and Water to look at the future role of the EPA, Victoria's environmental regulator.
An open community meeting for Melbourne's outer-east residents will be held at Ringwood, which is among 17 locations around the State hosting meetings to better understand local ideas and issues to inform long term planning for the EPA.
Topics for exploration include land use planning, public health, emergency management, climate change, better regulatory approaches, and ways the EPA can effectively consult with the community.
Ministerial Advisory Committee members Jane Brockington and Janice van Reyk will be hosting a public meeting to engage with those in the local area.
